Day 265 - 220910

Celebrated Mid-Autumn festival with The Womans (I know it's 'women', but we spell it this way, okay?) as usual!! This year, we had a BBQ to celebrate Siti's birthday (tomorrow) together with Mid-Autumn!! Had so so so much fun. But Diane couldn't make it. =(

Still, we had fun! Though I think we use lesser candles each year. LOL. Maybe we should just stock up on sparklers next time. =D

I love all you Womans.

Happy Birthday Siti!!!

Day 261 - Steamboat

Mum decided to get the steamboat pot out and we had steamboat for dinner!! The best part about a steamboat is always the end, when the soup is the best after cooking everything. Yum! I'm hungry already. >.<

Day 258 - Muffin's Tummy

Muffin's Tummy
This is Muffin's tummy. I know she's a little chubbier now. =.= Anyway, can you see her stitch?? There's also a red patch near it. Ouch. My poor baby >.< Tummies are very tender now. Scary. Hope they won't play so rough these few days. Which I highly doubt so.

Day 257 - Snowball

Snowball and Muffin got spayed (sterilized) yesterday. And Snowball came back with a shaved spot on each of her arm, while Muffin only had one on her right arm. I wonder if the vet did it on purpose because it's more obvious on Snowball (I'm joking).

They came back all groggy and couldn't really walk straight because of the anesthesia. They had to fast from Sunday night till the surgery yesterday (Monday), and being the greedy pigs they were, they woke me all bright and early to feed them. =( So hard to say no. And they only ate after they got back at around 7pm!! That's more than 12hrs without food!!! *heartbroken*

I have a whole A4 page worth of instructions from the vet and hope all goes well and they heal nicely. =) And I also hope they'll forget it was I who brought them there. >.<

Please spay/neuter all your pets. It's really important.

Day 254 - FurryDay3

3rd FurryDay by Gentle Paws! And I feel that this was my 'best' picture for the day. =) I totally love his face. Oh and I'm now his 'handler' for the dog training sessions conducted by a dog trainer at Gentle Paws. Trying to get him to respond more to me, trust me and like me more. =)

FurryDay today was a success. About 50 people attended, and quite a few drove. Ferrying the dogs to and from Pasir Ris Park was quite a breeze. Though we didn't have enough dogs for everyone. Lol. Sounds odd. But there were some volunteers standing around most of the time. Felt kind of bad.

Oh and I had a crazy time running around looking for all the dogs to get a picture of them. =( I was driver + photographer of the day. Not enough time and energy. Furthermore, not all the dogs get along well with each other. Hard time finding everyone. =(

BUT! I had so much fun, as always during FurryDay. =) Tired to the bone though. Goodnight!

Day 250 - Mazafati Dates

Mazafati Dates
Recently, I've taken to eating these. I've been seeing my maid eat these so often I wondered what it tasted like. It's very very sweet! She says it helps when she's fasting during Ramadan. Hmm.

It's said to be filled with vitamins and minerals, and good for your body. At the moment, it's just my snack. =D

In case you're wondering what the box looks like, it's this:

Azizi brand. I know it says "mozafati dates", but I Googled it, and came up with only Mazafati dates. So...

Everyone should try this. It's very good. =D

Day 249 - Istana Park

Istana Park!
Istana Park decorated with flags in honor of National Day! =) Had to try quite a few shots because I was on the other side of the super busy Orchard Road.

The Garden Slug

Finally had dinner here! =) Been wanting to try The Garden Slug for a long time. Hehehe. Finally went there with him to try the food. I'm not a food blogger, so my food description is.... Lol.
Tom Yam Chowder
I lovvveeee the bread at the side!! So nice to dip in the soup! Soup was good too =D It's in the Weekly Specials though. So it might not be there anymore when you go back.

Fried Mushrooms? (Can't remember name. Lol)
These mushrooms are so juicy!!! LOVEE! But abit oily. And the sauce at the side is sweet. Weird at 1st, but it grows on you. Lol. Not bad. =D

Babyback Ribs w/ a spiced cilantro sauce + baked potato nibblets + homemade 'achar' by side
This was his. Something interesting. The meat was tender, and the achar was okay.

Wagyu Beef Burger
MY WAGYU BEEF BURGERRRR. =D Nice! But I didn't know whether to use my hands, or to use the fork and knife. I ended up dissecting it with the fork and knife. =.= I like this!! But... meat was a little... cold? And I don't like wedges. Lol.

Overall, I liked the place very much! Very relaxed atmosphere. And they don't have service charge. Though he did tip them. And service was good too. Waiter kept topping up our iced water, again and again. Haha. I would love to go back there again! And also to visit the pet shops + get Thumper's nails trimmed. =D
